What connecting Google Docs unlocks

Your docs as chat context

Ask questions against briefs, research notes, and copy docs that live in Google Docs. StefanBrain reads the document itself, so you stop pasting walls of text into chat.

Copy delivered where your team works

Draft ad copy, scripts, and landing page sections in chat, then have StefanBrain write the result into a doc. Your team reviews in the tool they already use.

Copy Chief reviews on real drafts

Point a Copy Chief review at the draft sitting in Google Docs. Feedback lands on the exact words your team is shipping, not a stale copy.

Edits without the tab switch

Ask StefanBrain to revise a document from the conversation. Edits happen where the doc lives, and every write action is gated by tool permissions you control.

How to connect

1Open Connectors and choose Google Docs

In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Google Docs, and click Connect.

2Sign in on Google's authorization page

A Google authorization page opens. Sign in with the Google account that owns or can open the documents you want StefanBrain to use.

3Approve access for StefanBrain

Frequently asked questions

What can StefanBrain read from Google Docs?

Documents the connected Google account can open, including briefs, scripts, research notes, and copy docs. Once connected, you reference a doc in chat and StefanBrain reads it as context for the conversation.

How does authentication work?

Google Docs connects with OAuth. You sign in on Google's own authorization page and approve access there, so StefanBrain never sees your password and there is no API key to manage.

Can StefanBrain write or change my documents?

Yes, the connector supports reading, writing, and editing documents. Write actions are classified separately from reads, and your tool permissions decide whether they need approval or are blocked entirely. Nothing changes a doc without access you granted.

How do I disconnect Google Docs?

One click in Connectors removes access. You can also revoke StefanBrain's access from your Google account, and either path cuts access without touching the documents themselves.

How is this different from Google Sheets and Google Slides?

Each Google connector covers one format. Docs handles written documents, Sheets handles spreadsheets and ranges, and Slides handles presentations. Connect the ones your team uses, and StefanBrain routes each request to the right one.

Which Google account should I connect?

Use the account your marketing docs are shared with, usually your work account. If a doc is not visible to that account in Google Docs, StefanBrain cannot reach it either.
