What connecting Dropbox unlocks

Search your files from any chat

Ask for a brief, a report, or an asset by name and StefanBrain searches your Dropbox for it. The answer lands in the conversation, not in another tab.

Work grounded in what you already wrote

StefanBrain can read the research, briefs, and brand documents your team stores in Dropbox. Copy reviews and creative briefs start from your real materials instead of guesses.

Organize folders by asking

Tidy files and folders through plain requests instead of clicking through the Dropbox interface. Every change runs through tool permissions you control.

One answer for where things live

Anyone on the workspace can ask where an asset lives and get an answer from Dropbox itself. The one teammate who knows the folder structure gets fewer pings.

How to connect

1Open Connectors and choose Dropbox

In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Dropbox, and click Connect.

2Approve access on Dropbox's authorization page

A hosted Dropbox authorization page opens. Sign in with the Dropbox account your team uses and approve access for StefanBrain.

3You're connected, no keys to copy

Dropbox connects with standard OAuth sign-in, so there is no API key to hunt down or paste. Once the page closes, the connection is live.

4Ask your first question

Try asking StefanBrain to find your latest brand guidelines, or to list what sits in a folder you name.

Good to know

  • Access mirrors the Dropbox account you sign in with. Connect an account that can actually see the shared folders your team works from.
  • If your Dropbox team admin restricts third-party apps, the authorization step may need admin approval before the connection completes.

Your credentials stay yours

  • We never store your passwords
  • Encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Disconnect anytime

Frequently asked questions

What can StefanBrain read in Dropbox?

StefanBrain can search and read the files visible to the Dropbox account you connect. It sees only what that account's own permissions allow, so folders you cannot open stay closed to it too.

Do I need a Dropbox API key?

No. Dropbox connects through OAuth, which means you sign in on Dropbox's own authorization page and approve access there. StefanBrain never sees or stores your Dropbox password.

Can StefanBrain move or change my files without asking?

No. Write actions are classified separately from reads, and tool permissions let you require approval or block changes entirely. You decide whether StefanBrain can organize anything beyond searching and reading.

How do I disconnect Dropbox later?

One click in Connectors removes the connection. You can also revoke StefanBrain's access from your Dropbox account settings, which cuts access on Dropbox's side as well.

Which Dropbox account should I connect?

Connect the account that can see your team's shared marketing folders, since access mirrors that login exactly. A personal account outside those shares leaves StefanBrain blind to them.

How is Dropbox different from the Box or OneDrive connectors?

They are all storage connectors, so connect the one your team actually uses. If you connect more than one, just name the service when you ask.
