How to connect
1Copy your API key in Blotato
In Blotato, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key. Copy all of it, including any = at the end.
2Open Connectors and choose Blotato API
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Blotato API, and click Connect.
3Paste the key and connect
Paste the key into API key and click Connect. StefanBrain checks it with Blotato before it saves anything.
4Ask your first question
Try asking how your posts did across platforms this week, or to schedule today's video in your next free slot.
Good to know
- The API comes with Blotato's paid plans: Starter, Creator, and Agency. Creating a key during the free trial ends the trial and starts billing right away.
- Each Blotato account has one API key. Regenerating it in Blotato stops the old one at once, so reconnect with the new key.
- A post with no time set goes public right away. StefanBrain asks before every post, comment, message, and schedule change.
- Blotato keeps numbers only for posts published through Blotato, and LinkedIn posts have none.
- Buying credits, deleting visuals, and DM automation changes are not part of this connector.

Where do I find my Blotato API key?
In Blotato, under Settings, then API. Copy the whole key, including any = at the end.
Why did StefanBrain say my plan does not include the API?
Blotato's API needs a paid Starter, Creator, or Agency plan. Check your plan under Settings, then Billing, in Blotato.
How is this different from the Blotato card?
The Blotato card connects by signing in to Blotato. This card uses an API key and adds analytics summaries, results per platform, post search, and posting slots.
Will StefanBrain post without asking?
No. Posting, scheduling changes, comments, messages, and new visuals ask for your approval first. Reading posts and numbers does not.
Does this use my Blotato credits?
Posting, scheduling, and reading cost no credits. Only AI visuals spend credits, and StefanBrain asks before it makes one.
How do I disconnect?
Disconnect Blotato API in StefanBrain's Connectors. To stop the key everywhere, regenerate it in Blotato under Settings, then API.
