How to connect
1Open Connectors and choose Lob
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Lob, and click Connect. Lob authenticates with an API key, so there is no vendor sign-in redirect to approve.
2Enter your API credentials
A dialog asks for your Lob API key. Copy it from your Lob account or developer settings and paste it in.
3Ask your first question
Try asking what StefanBrain can see in your Lob account, or draft a postcard for your best offer.
Good to know
- Lob creates real physical mail with real postage costs. Review your tool permissions before granting write access, so a send always requires your approval.
- Lob has no fixed tool list in StefanBrain. The tools you see in chat come from your live connection, so they stay current with your Lob account.

What can StefanBrain read from Lob?
Whatever your Lob API key can access, centered on the letters and postcards Lob sends programmatically. The available tools load from your live connection rather than a fixed list, so they track what your account exposes.
Where does my Lob API key live?
In your Lob account or developer settings. Paste it into the connect dialog. Credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your Lob password is never asked for or stored.
Can StefanBrain send mail without asking me?
No. Write actions are classified separately from reads, and tool permissions let you require approval or block writes entirely. Since Lob output is physical mail with postage attached, keeping that gate on is the sensible default.
How do I disconnect Lob?
One click in Connectors removes access. For a hard cutoff, rotate or delete the API key in your Lob account, which invalidates the stored credential immediately.
Why connect direct mail to an AI marketing brain?
