What connecting Klaviyo API unlocks

Chat creative, ready for email

Upload an image attached in chat to your Klaviyo image library. StefanBrain returns the Klaviyo-hosted image URL to use in your templates.

Import any public image by URL

Point StefanBrain at a public image URL and it imports the image into Klaviyo. No downloading and re-uploading by hand.

See what your library already holds

List the recent images in your Klaviyo image library before you add more. Reuse what is there instead of uploading duplicates.

Works beside the Klaviyo connector

Klaviyo's own connector covers campaigns, flows, and lists. This one adds the image library, which that connector cannot reach.

Tools your chats can call

A sample of the Klaviyo API tools StefanBrain can use once connected. Reads and writes are classified separately, and you control both.

Get Klaviyo Images

List recent images in your Klaviyo image library.

Import Klaviyo Image From URL

Import an image from a public URL and return its Klaviyo-hosted image URL.

Upload Klaviyo Image From Chat File

Upload an image attached in chat and return its Klaviyo-hosted image URL.

How to connect

1Create a private API key in Klaviyo

In Klaviyo, open Settings, then API keys, and click Create Private API Key. Name the key and choose Full access.

2Open Connectors and choose Klaviyo API

In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Klaviyo API, and click Connect.

3Paste the key and connect

Paste the key into the Private API key field and click Connect. StefanBrain checks the key with Klaviyo before it saves.

4Send your first image

Attach an image in chat and ask StefanBrain to upload it to Klaviyo. You approve the upload, then get the hosted link back.

Good to know

  • Use a key with Full access. A key that cannot upload images is turned away when you connect.
  • Private API keys start with pk_. Klaviyo won't show a key again after you create it, so copy it right away.
  • Campaigns, flows, and lists come from the Klaviyo connector, which signs in through Klaviyo's own page instead of a key.

Your credentials stay yours

  • We never store your passwords
  • Encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Disconnect anytime

Frequently asked questions

Why does this need an API key when Klaviyo connects by sign-in?

Klaviyo's sign-in connector runs on Klaviyo's MCP server, which has no image uploads. The image library needs a private API key, so it gets its own connector.

What can StefanBrain do with this key?

Three things: list recent images in your Klaviyo image library, import an image from a public URL, and upload an image attached in chat.

Will StefanBrain upload images without asking?

No. Uploads and imports ask for your approval first. Listing your images runs without a prompt. You can change either in the connector's tool permissions.

I already added a key under the Klaviyo connector. Do I need to move it?

No. A key saved there keeps working, and you can still test, replace, or remove it. New keys go on this connector.

How do I disconnect?

One click in Connectors removes the key from StefanBrain. To cut access fully, also delete the key in Klaviyo under Settings, then API keys.
