Connect StefanBrain to Jira

Connect Jira and StefanBrain works from the issues and sprints your team already tracks. Ask in plain English and get answers from live project data, not a stale export.

What connecting Jira unlocks

Sprint and issue status in every chat

Ask what is in the current sprint or which issues are blocking a launch. Answers come from your live Jira projects, not screenshots pasted into chat.

Campaign context for creative work

Teams that track campaigns as Jira issues can pull that context into creative generation, Copy Chief reviews, and CRO analysis. The work in flight informs the work on the page.

Issues created from conversation

When a chat produces action items, StefanBrain can create issues so nothing dies in the transcript. Every write action is gated by tool permissions you control.

Sprint management without tab switching

The connector covers managing sprints as well as issues. Review and adjust the plan from the same conversation where the marketing decisions happen.

How to connect

1Open Connectors and choose Jira

In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Jira, and click Connect.

2Sign in to Jira

Jira opens its hosted authorization page. Sign in with the Atlassian account your team uses for project work.

3Approve access for StefanBrain

Review the requested access and approve it. StefanBrain never sees your password, only the token issued after approval.

4Ask your first question

Try asking what is in the current sprint, or which issues are still open on your next campaign.

Good to know

  • Access mirrors the account you connect with. StefanBrain sees only the projects and issues that account can see.
  • There are no API keys to find or paste. If access is ever revoked on the Atlassian side, reconnecting takes one click in Connectors.

Your credentials stay yours

  • We never store your passwords
  • Encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Disconnect anytime

Frequently asked questions

What can StefanBrain read from Jira?

The connector covers the issues and sprints in your Jira projects. That means issue details and status, plus how the work is organized into sprints. Anything the connected account can see is available to a question.

How does authentication work?

Jira uses OAuth, so you sign in and approve access on the vendor's hosted authorization page. StefanBrain stores the resulting token encrypted and never sees your password. There are no API keys to copy.

Can StefanBrain change things in Jira?

Creating and managing issues and sprints is what this connector covers, so changes are possible. Every write action is classified separately from reads and gated by tool permissions. You can require approval for each change or block writes entirely.

Which account should I connect?

Use an account that can see the projects you want StefanBrain to help with. Access mirrors that account exactly, so a limited account produces limited answers.

We use Jira for engineering. Why connect it to a marketing brain?

Launches usually depend on work that lives in Jira: landing pages, tracking fixes, product changes. Asking about that work in the same chat as the marketing decision keeps both sides honest. If your team also tracks campaigns in Jira, the connection is even more direct.

How do I disconnect?

One click in Connectors removes access on the StefanBrain side. You can also revoke StefanBrain's access on the Atlassian side. Reconnecting later is the same short OAuth flow.
