How to connect
1Find your Fairing Secret Token
In Fairing, open Settings, or Account on some dashboards, then API credentials. Reveal the Secret Token and copy it.
2Open Connectors and choose Fairing
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Fairing, and click Connect.
3Paste the token on the hosted credential page
Fairing connects with an API key, so a secure hosted credential page opens instead of a Fairing sign-in. Paste the Secret Token and submit.
4Ask your first question
Try asking how customers heard about you last month, or which free-text answers mention a competitor.
Good to know
- Response reads ask for your approval by default because responses include customer emails and order details. You can change that in the connector's tool permissions.
- If the connection fails, the usual cause is a mistyped or rotated token. Reveal the current Secret Token in Fairing, then reconnect.

Frequently asked questions
What can StefanBrain read from Fairing?
Your question stream, with targeting rules, and paged survey responses. Each response includes the question text, the chosen or typed answer, timestamps, order number and total, coupon, landing page, referring site, and UTM values.
Where do I find the Secret Token?
In the Fairing dashboard under Settings, or under Account and then API credentials on some accounts. Reveal the hidden Secret Token and copy it. Fairing accepts it in the Authorization header, which the connector handles for you.
Why do response reads ask for approval?
Responses include the customer's email address, customer id, and order details. Reads of that data default to approval so nothing personal reaches a chat by accident. Question reads run without approval.
Can StefanBrain create or edit Fairing questions?
No. The connector is read-only. It lists questions and responses and never changes your survey.
How is this different from KnoCommerce or Zigpoll?
All three are post-purchase survey connectors, so connect the one your store runs. Fairing uses a Secret Token, while KnoCommerce and Zigpoll sign in with OAuth.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes access. Rotating the Secret Token in Fairing also ends the connection until you reconnect with the new token.
