How to connect

1Sign in to TrueProfit first

Open app.trueprofit.io in the same browser and sign in with your TrueProfit account, not a shop-only login. The connection uses that sign-in.

2Open Connectors and choose TrueProfit

In StefanBrain, open Connectors, search for TrueProfit, and click Connect. There is no key to paste.

3Authorize StefanBrain

TrueProfit opens and asks you to authorize the connection. If it says Sign In Required, sign in to TrueProfit, come back, and press Connect again.

4Ask your first question

Try asking for yesterday's net profit, or which products lost money last month.

Good to know

TrueProfit's pricing page lists MCP only on its Enterprise plan, $200 a month. Its setup guide asks for an Admin or Viewer role and does not support the Editor role.
A Viewer can only read, so adding or changing costs and KPIs needs the Admin role.
The connection follows your app.trueprofit.io sign-in and lasts up to 90 days from your last sign-in there. Signing out, a password change, or a permission change ends it sooner.
Adding or changing a custom cost or custom KPI asks you twice: once to see TrueProfit's preview, and once to save it. Nothing saves until the second approval.
Delete Custom Cost and Delete Custom Metric start switched off, because TrueProfit deletes are permanent. You can switch them on in Connectors.
Listing orders asks first, because orders can name your customers.
Sending TrueProfit a support ticket asks twice too: once for the draft, and once to send it.
Profit is overstated for products with no cost of goods set. Ad spend for the last 1 to 3 days can still rise as ad platforms catch up.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a TrueProfit account?

Yes. You sign in with your own TrueProfit account, and StefanBrain cannot create one for you. TrueProfit's setup guide asks for the Admin or Viewer role, and only Admin can add or change costs.

Which TrueProfit plans include it?

TrueProfit's pricing page lists MCP only on the Enterprise plan, $200 a month. Check your plan in TrueProfit before you connect.

Will StefanBrain change my numbers?

Only after you approve. TrueProfit's guide names changes to custom costs and custom KPIs, and each shows a preview before it saves. Deletes start switched off, and your Shopify store is not changed through TrueProfit.

Why did the connection stop working?

It shares your app.trueprofit.io sign-in. Signing out there, changing your password, a role change by the store owner, or 90 days without signing in ends it. Sign in to TrueProfit again and reconnect the card.

I have several stores. Which one does it use?

Every shop your TrueProfit account can reach. StefanBrain lists your shops, so name the store you mean.

How do I disconnect?

Open Connectors in StefanBrain, choose the TrueProfit card, and disconnect it. StefanBrain stops using your TrueProfit account right away.
