Communication integration
Connect StefanBrain to Slack
Connect Slack and StefanBrain can search messages, read threads, and send updates across your workspace. The decisions, feedback, and customer quotes your team shares all day become context for every answer.
What connecting Slack unlocks
Workspace search from chat
Search messages across your Slack workspace without leaving the conversation. Find the launch debrief, the pricing decision, or that one customer complaint in seconds.
Full threads, not fragments
StefanBrain reads whole threads, so answers reflect the actual back and forth instead of one message out of context. Pull a decision into a brief without scrolling weeks of chat.
Team knowledge in creative work
Customer quotes and objections your team pastes into Slack can feed Copy Chief reviews and creative briefs. Real customer language beats guessed language.
Updates sent where the team lives
Ask StefanBrain to send an update to a channel when work wraps up. Every send respects the tool permissions you set.
How to connect
1Open Connectors and choose Slack
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Slack, and click Connect.

A Slack authorization page opens. Sign in and approve access for StefanBrain. Your password stays with Slack.
3Add StefanBrain to private channels
To give StefanBrain access to private channels, send /add, choose Add apps to this channel, then choose StefanBrain. Repeat in each private channel you want covered.
4Ask your first question

Good to know
- Workspace search only covers conversations the app can see. If a private channel is missing from answers, add StefanBrain to that channel first and ask again.

Frequently asked questions
What can StefanBrain read from Slack?
StefanBrain can search messages, read threads, and work across the channels the app can see. Private channels are included only where StefanBrain has been added.
How does authorization work?
Slack uses OAuth, so you approve access on Slack's own hosted page. StefanBrain never sees or stores your Slack password, and you can revoke the app from Slack at any time.
Can StefanBrain post to my channels?
Yes, sending updates is supported. Every write action is gated by tool permissions you control, so you can require approval for each send or block sends entirely.
Why can't StefanBrain see a private channel?
Private channels require an explicit invite. To give StefanBrain access to private channels, send /add, choose Add apps to this channel, then choose StefanBrain. Do this in each private channel you want covered.
What happens when I disconnect?
One click in Connectors removes StefanBrain's access to your workspace. You can also remove the app from the Slack side, and either action stops all reads and sends.
Will this connector answer questions about my other tools?
No. StefanBrain routes questions about Slack channels, messages, threads, and workspace search to this connector. Monday boards and Google Drive documents go to their own connectors instead.
