Good to know
- Plausible connects with an API key rather than a sign-in redirect, so there is no vendor authorization page in this flow.
- If you rotate or revoke the key in Plausible, the connection stops working. Reconnect in StefanBrain with the new key.
Your credentials stay yours
- We never store your passwords
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- Disconnect anytime
Frequently asked questions
What can StefanBrain read from Plausible?
The simple, privacy-friendly site analytics Plausible collects for your sites. Access flows through the API key you provide, so StefanBrain can only read what that key allows.
Where does my API key live and how is it stored?
You create the key in your Plausible account or developer settings and paste it into the StefanBrain dialog. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and StefanBrain never asks for your Plausible password.
Can StefanBrain change anything in Plausible?
This connection exists to read your analytics; Plausible is a reporting source. Platform-wide, any write action on any connector is gated by tool permissions you control, so nothing changes without access you granted.
I chose Plausible for privacy. Does connecting change what my site collects?
No. Connecting adds a read path from StefanBrain to analytics Plausible already collects, using your API key. It adds no tracking to your site and changes nothing about how Plausible measures visitors.
How does this help my media buying?
You can ask what your site analytics show for the window an ad ran, right in the chat where you plan spend. Decisions reference your numbers instead of memory.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes the connection and the stored key. For a hard cutoff, you can also rotate or revoke the key in your Plausible account.
