How to connect
1Open Connectors and choose Motion
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Motion, and click Connect.
2Approve access on Motion's page
A Motion authorization page opens. Sign in and approve access for StefanBrain. Your Motion account needs Owner, Admin, or Collaborator permissions.
3Check that Motion has ad data
A connected ad data source in Motion is recommended for useful performance analysis. If Motion shows no ad data yet, connect your ad account there first.
4Ask your first question
Try asking for your top creatives over the last 30 days, or what a competitor's ad library looks like right now.
Good to know
- Motion MCP access requires a Motion account with Owner, Admin, or Collaborator permissions. Viewer-level seats cannot authorize the connection.
- Performance questions come back thin if Motion itself has no connected ad data source, so set that up in Motion before you rely on the numbers.

What can StefanBrain read from Motion?
Creatives ranked by performance, AI creative summaries, video transcripts, and demographic breakdowns. It can also read your workspace brand context, tracked competitors, ad library creatives, saved reports, and AI tag taxonomy.
How does authentication work?
Motion uses OAuth, so you sign in on Motion's own authorization page and StefanBrain never sees your password. Approval requires Owner, Admin, or Collaborator permissions on the Motion account.
Can StefanBrain change anything in my Motion account?
No. Every Motion tool StefanBrain uses is read-only, so it analyzes your data without touching it. Across the platform, any write action is gated by tool permissions you control.
Is this the Motion calendar and task app?
No. This is Motion the creative analytics platform at motionapp.com, used for ad performance and competitor research. StefanBrain does not route task scheduling or calendar planning questions here.
Why are my performance answers empty or thin?
Motion recommends a connected ad data source for useful performance analysis. If Motion's own dashboard shows no ad data, connect your ad account inside Motion, then ask again.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes access. You can also revoke StefanBrain's authorization from your Motion account.
