How to connect
1Open Connectors and choose Junip
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Junip, and click Connect. The dialog asks for one API key.
2Create a private app in Junip
In Junip, open Settings, then Custom apps, then Create app. Choose Team members only, and allow Read reviews and Modify reviews.
3Install the app and copy its API key
Click Install on the app's page. Copy the API key under Credentials, not the Secret key, and paste it into the dialog.
4Ask your first question
Try asking for this month's one-star reviews, or the phrases customers repeat in five-star reviews of your best seller.
Good to know
- Junip includes custom apps on its Premium plan. On other plans, the Custom apps page asks you to upgrade before you can create one.
- Each API key belongs to one Junip store. Uninstalling the private app revokes its key, so the connection stops working until you reconnect.
- Lists include reviews in every state unless you filter by state. Only approved reviews appear on your storefront.
- A reply can email the reviewer only when Junip has confirmed their identity. StefanBrain sends that email only when you ask for it.

Frequently asked questions
What can StefanBrain read from Junip?
Product reviews and store reviews, with rating, title, text, state, reviewer name, and any reply. Product reviews also include the product, uploaded photos and videos, and answers to public custom questions. Reviewer emails and answers to private questions stay in Junip.
Where do I find my Junip API key?
In Junip, open Settings, then Custom apps, and create an app for Team members only. After you click Install, the API key appears under Credentials. Treat it like a password.
Which Junip plan do I need?
Custom apps, which give you the API key, are part of Junip's Premium plan. Without one, Junip has no key to paste into StefanBrain.
Can StefanBrain change my reviews?
It can set, replace, or clear the public reply on a review. Review text and ratings are never edited, and reply tools are gated by tool permissions you control.
Will reviewers get an email when StefanBrain replies?
Only when you ask for one. Replies go out with Junip's reviewer email turned off by default, and Junip sends it only to reviewers whose identity is confirmed.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes access and the stored key. Uninstalling the private app in Junip also revokes the key.
