How to connect
1Generate a Data Export API token in Clarity
In Microsoft Clarity, open Settings, then Data Export, and generate a project Data Export API token. Microsoft's Data Export API guide, linked from the connect dialog, walks through it.
2Open Connectors and choose Microsoft Clarity
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Microsoft Clarity, and click Connect.
3Paste your API token
The dialog asks for a single field: your Clarity Data Export API token. Paste it and click Connect.
4Ask your first question
Try asking what your Clarity dashboard shows for the past week, or for recordings from mobile visitors who hit errors.

- The token belongs to one Clarity project, so generate it in the project you want StefanBrain to analyze.
- Clarity caps how many data-export requests a project can make per day. StefanBrain validates the connection without spending one of them.

What can StefanBrain read from Microsoft Clarity?
Your Clarity analytics data, queried in natural language, and your session recordings list, filterable by date, device, URL, geography, behavior, and errors. It can also pull Microsoft's own Clarity documentation for setup and troubleshooting questions.
Where do I find the API token?
In Microsoft Clarity, under Settings, then Data Export, for the project you want to connect. Generate a Data Export API token there and paste it into the StefanBrain dialog. The connect dialog links to Microsoft's documentation for the full walkthrough.
Can StefanBrain change anything in my Clarity project?
No. Every Clarity tool in StefanBrain is read only, so it can query analytics and list recordings but never modify your project or tracking setup. Platform wide, any connector write action is gated by tool permissions you control, and this connector has none.
Does connecting use up my daily data-export requests?
No. Clarity limits daily data-export requests per project, and StefanBrain validates your token on connect without spending one of them. Analytics questions you ask afterward go through Clarity's Data Export API like any other client.
How do I disconnect?
One click in Connectors removes StefanBrain's access, and your Clarity project is untouched. The token itself is managed in your Clarity project settings, so you can also handle it on the Clarity side.
