Connect StefanBrain to Loop
Give StefanBrain live access to your Loop returns data. Ask about return volume, return states, and individual orders in plain English and get answers straight from Loop.
What connecting Loop unlocks
Returns visibility in every chat
List returns by date window and state without opening Loop. Open, closed, cancelled, expired, and in-review returns are all one question away.
Return context for growth decisions
Bring return volume into CRO analysis and media-buying conversations. A post-launch spike in returns is a signal worth catching early.
One order, the full return story
Look up a return by return ID, order ID, or Shopify order name. Full details and internal notes come back in one answer.
Light operations from chat
Add an internal note to a return, or flag one for manual review. Both are write actions gated by tool permissions you control.
Tools your chats can call
A sample of the Loop tools StefanBrain can use once connected. Reads and writes are classified separately, and you control both.
List Loop Returns
List returns created in Loop, with date filters, state filters, and pagination.
Get Loop Return Details
Load the full details for a return using a return ID, order ID, or order name.
Get Loop Return Notes
Read internal notes attached to a Loop return.
Create Loop Return Note
Add an internal note to a return for audit trail or operations context.
Flag Loop Return
Flag a return for manual review, which blocks automated processing.
How to connect
1Generate a Loop API key
In Loop Admin, generate an API key with the Returns scope enabled. Loop's authentication docs, linked from the connect dialog, walk through it.
2Open Connectors and choose Loop
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Loop, and click Connect.
3Paste your API key
The dialog asks for a single field, your Loop API key. Paste it and click Connect.
4Ask your first question
Try asking for open returns from the last 30 days, or the full return details for a specific order name.
Good to know
- The API key needs the Returns scope enabled. A key created without that scope cannot read your returns.
- Return lists paginate at 100 results per page, up to 750. StefanBrain follows Loop's pagination links when a question spans more.
Your credentials stay yours
- We never store your passwords
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- Disconnect anytime
Frequently asked questions
What can StefanBrain read from Loop?
Returns, filtered by date window and by state: open, closed, cancelled, expired, or in review. It can also load the full details for a single return and read the internal notes attached to it.
Where do I get my Loop API key?
Generate it in Loop Admin with the Returns scope enabled, then paste it into the connect dialog. Credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest, and StefanBrain never asks for your Loop password.
Can StefanBrain change anything in Loop?
Two write actions exist: adding an internal note to a return, and flagging a return for manual review. Flagging blocks automated processing until someone looks at the return. Both are gated by tool permissions, so you decide whether StefanBrain can use them at all.
Can I look up a return by order number?
Yes. Ask with the return ID, the order ID, or the Shopify order name, such as #7382018, and StefanBrain pulls the full return details.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes access. For a clean break, revoke the API key in Loop Admin as well, so it stops working everywhere.
