What connecting Gmail unlocks

Customer language on tap

Search the inbox for real replies and pull exact customer sentences into chat. Copy Chief reviews and creative briefs get grounded in words buyers actually wrote.

Find any email from chat

Ask for the conversation you half remember, and StefanBrain searches the account and reads the messages back. No inbox digging, no tab switching.

Drafts you review before anything moves

Ask for an outreach or reply draft and read it before it goes anywhere. Drafting is a write action, gated by the tool permissions you set.

Send only when you say so

When you want an email sent, StefanBrain can send it from your connected account. Sending is permission gated, so nothing leaves without access you granted.

How to connect

1Open Connectors and choose Gmail

In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Gmail, and click Connect.

2Sign in on Google's authorization page

A hosted Google authorization page opens. Choose the Google account whose inbox you want connected.

3Approve access for StefanBrain

Review the requested access and approve it. StefanBrain never sees or stores your Google password.

4Ask your first question

Try asking for the latest replies from a specific customer, or for a draft response to the last email in a thread.

Good to know

  • Gmail is a sensitive connector. Drafting and sending email are write actions, and tool permissions let you require approval for them or block them entirely.
  • Access runs on an OAuth token issued by Google, not your password. You can revoke StefanBrain from your Google account at any time, independent of StefanBrain.

Your credentials stay yours

  • We never store your passwords
  • Encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Disconnect anytime

Frequently asked questions

What can StefanBrain read from Gmail?

It can search and read email in the account you connect. That content feeds chat answers, Copy Chief reviews, and creative work, so replies and objections show up where you write.

How does authentication work? Do I need an API key?

No API key. You approve access on Google's hosted authorization page, and Google issues StefanBrain a token. StefanBrain never sees or stores your Google password.

Can StefanBrain send email without asking me?

Drafting and sending are write actions, classified separately from reads. Tool permissions let you require approval for every send or block sending entirely. Nothing goes out without the access you granted.

Can it write an email without sending it?

Yes. Ask for a draft and StefanBrain drafts the email instead of sending it. You review the wording and decide what happens next.

How do I disconnect Gmail?

One click in Connectors removes access on the StefanBrain side. For a belt and suspenders cutoff, also revoke StefanBrain from your Google account, which kills the token at the source.

Which Gmail account should I connect?

Connect the account that actually receives customer and campaign email, since that is where the useful replies live. Access is scoped to the single account you approve during authorization.
