How to connect
1Create an API token in GetHookd
In GetHookd, open API & MCP in the left sidebar, then the REST API tab. Pick All Features (Full Access), click Generate API Key, and copy the token.
2Open Connectors and choose GetHookd API
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find GetHookd API, and click Connect.
3Paste the token and connect
The dialog asks for one field, your API token. It can be the same token the GetHookd card uses. Connecting runs two free checks, so it costs no credits.
4Ask a first question
Try asking for the landing pages a competitor's shop sends its ads to, or for this week's Brand Spy summary.
Good to know
- API access comes with every GetHookd annual plan, and with the monthly Team and Agency plans. Monthly Starter and Pro plans do not include it.
- Searches and lists spend GetHookd credits per result. StefanBrain asks for small pages unless you want more.
- Tools that change your GetHookd workspace ask before they run. Create Clone Ad starts switched off, because StefanBrain makes images with its own image tools. Deleting an ad tag or a Chat conversation starts off too, since neither can be undone.
- The business profile GetHookd tailors searches with lives in the GetHookd card. Both cards can use the same token.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the GetHookd card?
The GetHookd card is GetHookd's own MCP server. This card is its REST API, with extras such as a shop's ads and landing pages, GetHookd Chat, brand profiles, and products.
Where do I find my GetHookd API token?
In GetHookd, open API & MCP in the left sidebar, then the REST API tab. Generate a key there. One token works for both GetHookd cards.
Why did GetHookd refuse my token?
Most often the workspace has no active plan with API access, or its subscription is paused or past due. Every annual plan has it, and so do the monthly Team and Agency plans.
Does it cost GetHookd credits?
Connecting is free. Searches and lists spend credits per result, while one-ad and one-brand lookups stay free. Each read's answer says what it cost and what is left.
Can StefanBrain change things in GetHookd?
Yes, and it asks first every time. It can tag ads, organize boards, and manage brand profiles, products, briefs, and saved searches. You can switch any tool off, or on, in the connector's permissions.
How do I disconnect?
One click in Connectors removes the stored token. To cut access on GetHookd's side too, revoke the key under API & MCP in GetHookd. If the GetHookd card uses the same token, revoking it disconnects that card too.
