How to connect
1Create an API token in GetHookd
In GetHookd, open API & MCP in the left sidebar, then the REST API tab. Pick All Features (Full Access), click Generate API Key, and copy the token.
2Open Connectors and choose GetHookd
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find GetHookd, and click Connect.
3Paste the token and connect
The dialog asks for one field, your API token. StefanBrain checks it with GetHookd's free token check and tool list, so connecting costs no credits.
4Ask a first question
Try asking for the top skincare video ads on Meta this month, or what changed this week for the brands you spy on.
Good to know
- API and MCP access comes with every GetHookd annual plan, and with the monthly Team and Agency plans. Monthly Starter and Pro plans do not include it.
- Searches and lists spend GetHookd credits per result, and so do some changes, such as copying a board. Looking up one ad or one brand, and a tracked brand's top ads, are free.
- Tools that change your GetHookd workspace ask before they run. Create Clone Ad starts switched off, because StefanBrain makes images with its own image tools. Delete Tag starts off too, since it takes a tag off every ad.
- Brand profiles, products, GetHookd Chat, and deeper shop reads live in the GetHookd API card. Both cards can use the same token.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the GetHookd API card?
This card is GetHookd's own MCP server, the tools GetHookd built for AI assistants. The GetHookd API card is its REST API, with extras such as brand profiles, products, GetHookd Chat, and deeper shop reads.
Where do I find my GetHookd API token?
In GetHookd, open API & MCP in the left sidebar, then the REST API tab. Generate a key there. One token works for both GetHookd cards.
Why did GetHookd refuse my token?
Most often the workspace has no active plan with API and MCP access, or its subscription is paused or past due. Every annual plan has it, and so do the monthly Team and Agency plans.
Does it cost GetHookd credits?
Connecting is free. Searches and lists spend credits per result, while one-ad and one-brand lookups stay free. GetHookd shows your remaining credits in its app.
Can StefanBrain change things in GetHookd?
Yes, and it asks first every time. It can save ads, organize boards, manage saved searches and briefs, and start or stop Brand Spy tracking. You can switch any tool off in the connector's permissions.
How do I disconnect?
One click in Connectors removes the stored token. To cut access on GetHookd's side too, revoke the key under API & MCP in GetHookd. If the GetHookd API card uses the same token, revoking it disconnects that card too.
