1Open Connectors and choose EmailOctopus
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find EmailOctopus, and click Connect.
2Get your API key
Copy an API key from your EmailOctopus account or developer settings. Treat it like a password.
3Enter your credentials in the dialog
Paste the API key into the connection dialog and save. StefanBrain never asks for your EmailOctopus password.
4Ask your first question
Try asking for a recap of your recent campaigns, or what your last newsletter covered.
Good to know
- The API key defines what StefanBrain can access. Your credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest.
- If you rotate or revoke the key in EmailOctopus, the connection stops working. Reconnect with the new key to restore access.

What can StefanBrain read from EmailOctopus?
The connector covers your EmailOctopus email program: the campaigns and newsletters your account can access. Ask a question in chat and StefanBrain pulls what it needs to answer. Access follows your API key, so it only sees what that key allows.
Where do I find my EmailOctopus API key?
Copy it from your EmailOctopus account or developer settings. Paste it into the StefanBrain connection dialog when you click Connect. StefanBrain stores the key encrypted and never asks for your EmailOctopus password.
Can StefanBrain change or send anything in my account?
Write actions are classified separately from reads across StefanBrain. Tool permissions let you require approval for changes or block them entirely. Nothing runs against your EmailOctopus account beyond the access you granted.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes the stored key and ends StefanBrain's access. For a hard stop, you can also revoke the key from your EmailOctopus account, which cuts access immediately.

Connect the platform you actually send from; the catalog carries several Email & SMS connectors. If you connect more than one, StefanBrain routes each email question to the right tool.
