Email & SMS integration
Connect StefanBrain to Drip API
Put StefanBrain's emails straight into Drip as single-email campaign drafts, send tests to your team, and point them at saved segments. StefanBrain also reads your campaigns, results, workflows, and people.
What connecting Drip API unlocks
Emails into Drip, ready to review
StefanBrain creates a draft with your subject, preview text, and HTML. It adds the unsubscribe link and postal address Drip requires, and tells you what it changed.
Test sends before anything goes out
Send a test to up to 5 teammates on your sending domain. Drip marks the sender [TEST] and strips automation links.
The right audience
Point a draft at saved segments, leave other segments out, or send to everyone. Before it replaces an audience someone already set, StefanBrain shows it to you, because Drip can't restore it.
Results for every email
Get sends, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, and revenue for campaigns and workflow emails, matched to each workflow step.
Tags and people
Add or remove a tag, create or update one subscriber, count people by tag, and look one person up.
Tools your chats can call
A sample of the Drip API tools StefanBrain can use once connected. Reads and writes are classified separately, and you control both.
Create Drip Broadcast Draft
Create a single-email campaign draft from StefanBrain's copy.
Send Drip Broadcast Test
Send a test of a draft to up to 5 addresses on your team.
Set Drip Broadcast Audience
Point a draft at saved segments, or at everyone eligible.
Get Drip Email Metrics
Get opens, clicks, unsubscribes, and revenue for campaigns and workflow emails.
Get Drip Workflow Details
Get a workflow's triggers, steps, and the emails it sends.
Count Drip Subscribers
Count people by status, tag, or signup date.
How to connect
1Copy your API token from Drip
In Drip, open Settings, then User Settings, and copy the API token at the bottom of the page. No token there means API access is off, so ask support@drip.com.
2Open Connectors and choose Drip API
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Drip API, and click Connect.
3Paste the token, and the Account ID if needed
Paste the API token. If your Drip user reaches more than one account, add the Account ID, the number after getdrip.com/ in your browser's address bar.
4Connect and ask
Click Connect. StefanBrain checks the token with Drip first. Then ask it to turn your latest email into a Drip draft.
Good to know
- Drip trial accounts have no API access until support@drip.com turns it on. During a trial, test sends reach only you.
- On Drip API, sending a campaign starts switched off. Turn on Send Drip Broadcast in Manage connector when StefanBrain may send or schedule. Drafts, tests, and audience changes ask first.
- Drip sends from your account's default from name and email. Its API can't change them, so set them in Drip.
- People lookups ask first, and their answers leave out street addresses, phone numbers, and IP addresses.
- Drip allows 20 test sends an hour per user and 20 email reports an hour per account.
Your credentials stay yours
- We never store your passwords
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- Disconnect anytime
Frequently asked questions
What can StefanBrain do with the Drip API connector?
Create and edit single-email campaign drafts, send tests, set audiences, and send when you allow it. It also reads campaigns, results, segments, tags, workflows, and people.
Where do I find my Drip API token?
In Drip under Settings, then User Settings, at the bottom of the page. If you generate a new token, the old one can keep working for up to 24 hours.
Will StefanBrain email my list on its own?
No. On Drip API, sending starts switched off until you turn it on in Manage connector, and every draft, test, and audience change asks you first. Before a campaign with no audience goes to everyone eligible, StefanBrain stops and shows you who it would reach. On the Drip card, every tool asks first, sending included.
Can StefanBrain write my workflow emails?
No Drip API can edit workflow or email series emails. StefanBrain writes that copy for you to paste, or puts it in a single-email campaign draft.
Which Drip account does it use?
The one you connect. A token reaches every account your Drip user can open, so StefanBrain asks for an Account ID when there is more than one.
How do I disconnect?
One click in Connectors removes the token from StefanBrain. To cut access fully, generate a new API token in Drip under Settings, then User Settings.
