How to connect
1Open Connectors and choose Ontraport
In StefanBrain, open Connectors, find Ontraport, and click Connect.
2Approve on Ontraport's authorization page
An Ontraport authorization page opens. Sign in and approve access for StefanBrain. There is no API key to copy and no headers to configure.
3Review tool permissions
Ontraport includes payment and delete tools. Keep those high-risk tools blocked in tool permissions unless you intentionally enable them.
4Ask your first question
Try asking which contacts joined a sequence this week, or which recent broadcasts got the best engagement.
Good to know
- Ontraport connects over OAuth with no API key or headers. Your Ontraport user role still controls what the connection can access.
- Delete and payment tools exist in this connector. They should stay blocked in tool permissions unless you intentionally enable them.
- For bulk database-wide operations that need deterministic API pagination, work in Ontraport directly instead of chat.

Do I need an API key?
No. Ontraport connects over OAuth, so you approve access on Ontraport's own authorization page. There is no key to find, copy, or rotate.
Can StefanBrain change my Ontraport data?
Write tools exist for records, tags, tasks, and sequence enrollment, and every one is gated by tool permissions you control. You can require approval per action or block writes entirely. Your Ontraport user role also caps what the connection can touch.
What about payments, refunds, and deletes?
Those tools are high risk, and the guidance is to keep them blocked unless you intentionally enable them. Nothing charges a card or deletes a record under permissions you have not granted.
Is this good for bulk database operations?
No. Bulk database-wide operations that need deterministic API pagination belong in Ontraport itself or a purpose-built script. Use this connector for questions, lookups, and targeted changes.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes, one click in Connectors removes access. Because access rides on your Ontraport user role, changing that role in Ontraport also narrows what the connection can do.
